Overview

Our Cheltenham Summer Centre is based at Cheltenham College in Gloucestershire. This famous English boarding school is one of the most prestigious coeducational public schools in the country. The College occupies beautiful buildings in extensive grounds, ideally situated just a few minutes' walk from the centre of Cheltenham, and about 1 hour from Bath, Bristol and Oxford.

Core activities for Summer Course students include:

Arts and crafts, badminton, baseball, basketball, cookery, cricket, dance, football, movie night, pool parties, rugby, salsa, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis, talent shows and volleyball.

Specialist activities

Performing Arts

9 hours of Performing Arts per week. Students work together to plan and perform a short musical or play, for performance before the whole school. Students can direct, perform, design costumes and scenery, and use sound and lighting equipment. 
Available as the Summer Course + Performing Arts option and should be booked in advance.

Filmcraft

9 hours of our specialist film-making course per week. Students learn about film-making and can contribute to every aspect of production, including script-writing, directing, acting, camera-work, lighting and sound, and digital editing.
Available as the Summer Course + Filmcraft option and should be booked in advance.

Tennis

6 hours of professional on-site tennis coaching per week.
Available as the Summer Course + Tennis option and should be booked in advance.

Accommodation

On-campus residence

Single and twin rooms with modern communal bathrooms and a number of dormitories for 3–4 students. Boys and girls are housed separately and supervised by Kings' residential staff.

Meal plan

Full-board. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided every day. Lunch and dinner are usually hot (with packed lunches on excursion days) and there is usually a choice of at least two main courses plus salad bar and dessert/fruit. We can cater for vegetarian and other dietary requirements on request.
